    My first kneejerk reaction is to be glad to see the 24 player modes removed (was never fond of them), but like Esmoire pointed out, maybe it was because the maps are just too big for just 24 people to occupy them. Seize is sort of bearable in terms of traveling around for some reason, but Secure and Shatter just feel like too much ground to cover for just 8 people (and large ice shouldn't exist with that few players either). I also agree that the preferred solution would be to make smaller maps for 24 people games, but I honestly do not see the devs creating 2-3 completely new maps just for it.

    The full to near-full premade parties just had to go. They effectively ruin a match for the other two teams of 16/48 people 90% of the time. I'm sure the devs noticed this and that's why we have now have a cap of 4 people per queue. I totally support that particular change.

    Welp there goes my morning 24 player matches. I work night shifts so prime time doesn't work for me so this will be fun and here I actually enjoyed 24 more than 72 zergfest mess.

    This is a bad change, why make people unable to play with friends or have a full party of people you know you enjoy playing with? It's a multiplayer game, nothing was stopping other people from making their own premades and forcing people to be in parties with people they don't know or don't want to play with just because people aren't having an easy FL roulette or can't get their garo mount or whatever is a terrible change. We shouldn't be forced to essentialy DF it, what's next, statics are making pugs feel bad with their higher clear rates so you can only go in with a premade party of 4 for savage?

    Did they make it so all data centers que together? If they were going to delete anything going forward wouldn't it have been easier to keep ques alive having 8 man teams? Maybe they have a magic plan, or maybe they will blame lore like they did in ARR and HWs when they refused to remove GCs.

    Guess I better break my fingers to get those 100 wins in the next week then. What a joke... I'm also in the group that genuinely found 24 man PVP the most engaging. Yeah it was bad if you had party members who just wanted to zerg but when you had an intelligent team it was absolutely fabulous.

    They better have a replacement for Garo ready or this is outright gonna kill PVP again.

    The main issue is majority of the time these people were essentially making it impossible for any team in opposition to even put up a fight compounded with the Battle High/Fever bonus. Its not about having an "easy FL roulette," its about effectively and near completely shutting-down the game for 16/48 people to the point that majority just stop trying. Its discouraging for the majority of the other people participating and why I suspect the devs have deemed it necessary to take this measure. You absolutely can still play with friends (up to 3 others), but let's not pretend that a lot of full premades aren't created with the intention of "steamrolling" everyone else by taking advantage of the Battle High/Fever mechanic to skew the odds of winning in their favor. While that in itself isn't against the rules or anything, it dejects and frustrates the randoms they are pitted against, and I'm sure the devs noticed this and clearly disagreed with it.

    This is such a disingenuous comparison. PvE is not comparable to a PvP mode. It's a zero sum game where when one team wins, the other(s) lose. People succeeding with their group in Savage does not actively prevent another group from succeeding on their own as a direct consequence. If you want to go there consider it having Ranked Feast Light Parties being queued against a team of "DF'd" randoms with no prior interaction between each other (which they don't do for obvious reasons). You are forced to solo-queue Frontlines roulette no matter who you are and unfortunately this still pits people against full premades.

    Shame I enjoy the 24 man mode the most, also the premade thing does not really change how people premade just makes it slightly tedious but w\e

    I'm one of those people that prefer 72 man pvp because I like the big group aspect of it. However, 24 man have its place when not enough people during non peak times. Heck I only queue into FL using the roulette.

    I hope they didn't remove 24 man seeing how popular FL currently is due to moogle tomes farming... This might mean they will keep adding rewards after rewards to Pvp forcing people like me to do the content.
