Mogstation housing items and demolition

I've been thinking about buying a couple of the housing items off the mogstation for my house. Does anyone know what happens to them if your house ends up being lost? Due to my job I sometimes have periods I can't log in for a few months, so I may end up losing my house at some point. If the items are reclaimable from an npc or something I'll probably get them, but don't want to pay money for something I'll might lose in the future.

If your house gets demolished your items will be with the Resident Caretaker for 45? days and after that they will be gone forever.

Exceptions would be wall/floor coverings and any food items that had charges used. The rest should be at the Resident Caretaker if you're back in time to claim your items from storage.

You have 35 days to collect anything that would normally be retrievable from the Resident Caretaker npc after the house is removed by auto-demolition. There's no special handling for mogstation items and after the 35 days, any of them still on the npc will be permanently deleted. If you think you're going to take a long break where your plot may be reclaimed by the server, be sure to place any event/mogstation items in your personal inventory, your chocobo saddlebags or your retainers. Remember that the house storage is attached to the house and items in it will be sent to the resident caretaker as well.
