new ones, even the patch 5.1 items are 100% always.Old legendary nodes, or new legendary nodes?
If it's the new ones, then that is probably unintended and will be fixed.
If it's the old ones, they probably don't see the point in making old content so hard to do. Kinda like how you can run old dungeons unsynch'd and easily steamroll them, or how even stuff like Shinryu now can be just mowed down even if you are synch'd compared to what he was at the end of Stormblood.

That is obviously unintended behavior and I hope people aren't exploiting it and grabbing whole stockpiles of the stuff.
It sounds like they wanted to buff old items, and somehow accidentally dropped a blanket buff on ALL of them, new ones included.
Well, two options are likely to happen:
1. In the interview with Yoshida/Dengeki, when he mentioned how endgame recipes will require procs to complete, he meant it will be added to all endgame recipes once 5.2 starts.
2. Or, he meant that Ishgard Restoration will have super difficult hardcore recipes, which, will not happen until 5.2. Thing is, if this is the case, the rewards given to these hardcore players must be pretty sweet. Like high stat gear/tools (or some lewd glam. cuz let’s be real, nobody will do it if it’s not that at least lol).
So, it’s up to us to figure out which one is more likely to happen.

wow, how will i ever recover from this. lmoa
comparing crafting to roullete and said "we have no control" whatsoever. which is frankly bs.
when good status proc does yourhipfinger moving on your own to press observe?? or you think "hmm, i need more cp to make sure its 100% hq"
this is probably surprising for this good community, but you control the button you press, and heck there is even a skill description that you can read
i mean, you should read your own post its not that long.

We have some control over the actions we take, but yet we are still at the mercy of the RNG gods.
Even with this new crafting system, I noticed sometimes that I will do a recipe and I will get 0 Good procs that I can use.
Or, I will get two Excellents within 5 steps on the very next recipe.
Now you tell me that doesn't make a mountain of difference, and that the difference has nothing to do with the actions the player had taken during either of the two crafting attempts.
Because uh, when I make the exact same item twice, and one time I finished with 100CP because I got an excellent and 2 Goods during the Touch phase and didn't even need Byregot's, let alone Great Strides, and the second time, I threw everything I had at it and still finished with only 94% HQ and had 0 CP left and barely finished with 0 durability left, you're trying to tell me that this was all because of me and my actions and nothing at all to do with gambling, luck, or random chance?

Good job listening to casual crybabies SE, but its still its too hard, why don't you just make it even easier?
Like, have the mats in inventory > press craft > get HQ item.
On a serious note tho, i wonder if HC omnicrafting/MB control is gonna worth the effort anymore, since everyone and his mother gonna craft and sell everything except the cream of the crop recipes.
Square Enix catering to casual crafters is a good thing, because it encourages them to try crafting. I mean, yes, they’ve nerfed crafting overall, and hardcore players dislike that. But, they can easily please hardcore players by giving them hardcore content they desire. Like I said previously, Yoshida will either nerf endgame recipes to be more difficult in 5.2. Or, he will only make Ishgard restoration ranking recipes difficult, but in return, making the rewards a “must have”.Good job listening to casual crybabies SE, but its still its too hard, why don't you just make it even easier?

I care little for crafting being "hardcore", if I want that savage content exists and gives better gear than what can be crafted anyway.
Crafting had too many barriers to entry anyway, something that only benefits the people already at the top.
Of course THOSE people hate any change to it for ease of access.
