It really is a huge pain in the ass when you're doing 10-20 runs a day and you get a cutscene for entering and every boss. Also, the airship.
Its not that its hard to skip, its just, why is it necessary to hit 4 buttons to skip a cutscene when there is only one reason I would hit ESC in the first place during a cutscene. Waste of time every raid, airship ride, etc...
I use a gamepad to play and I have to hit cancel twice, then up then accept, so the same 4 presses. I believe I have worn out my thumbs out to the brink of arthritis over this issue. I think I am gonna sue for damages!

How about we have it so either TWO escapes in a row, or an Escape and an Enter press skips the cutscene? It's faster than the version in now, but there's no chance of accidentally doing it for first time players of a CS? I think that's pretty fair. Not much finger movement involved to skip, but still a very safe system.
Or! A "Re-watch cutscenes" option you can toggle on or off.![]()
Sorry, i just don't see the point in having to skip a CS of me going on the elevator or leaving a town on a chocobo or the same CS in raids and primal fights, why can't i have some sort of option to not see it at all.
The skip option is alright as it is....there's not much else going on ingame anyway. Agree that the auto option should be Yes instead of No...same as leaving Airship landing, too stupid to be defaulted as No when there is no point, even more important in dungeons!!!
There will be lag anyway since ur engine needs to map the landscape upon leaving the city but its not that bad IMO, if anything I'd request Chocobo to exit city to nearest camp (Bentbranch etc) since there is nothing in between...
