Nothing in this game except perhaps double-weaves when you have excess GCD room has anything to do with timing. Seems an odd complaint to make about one skill in particular when the game as a whole has barely more temporal nuance than a turn-based game apart from, and only tangentially, "Can I double-weave at this ping and GCD?" and "Which oGCD do I use first?"
I mean, I'm right there with you in wanting that timing, especially for something that could iconically exploit that.
But... have you seen our server ticks? Or our net-code? We've got a lot to fix before "timing" can be more than lipservice.
It’s not about the skill, it’s about the weapon, a Gunblade’s whole shtick is correct timing on a trigger pull to increase damage, if it doesn’t have that then what’s the point of it being a gunblade at all? It could have been a club (would have fit better with the sound effects too) and it would make no difference. I point out continuation because that is supposedly our renzokuken mechanic and it doesn’t represent that at all, it’s just an oGCD, you can even interrupt it with sonic break and still continue after.Nothing in this game except perhaps double-weaves when you have excess GCD room has anything to do with timing. So, basically, the most iconic part of Gunblades is something that isn't the least bit a tank type mechanic.
I can't help but once again feel like they cheated by making the most wanted class a tank just to tweak tank distribution.
Blah Blah ContinuationThe main thing I don’t like about GNB is that there’s no kind of trigger mechanic, what’s the point of it being a gunblade when it lacks the only defining feature of a gunblade? I was hoping there would be some kind of renzokuken job gauge mechanic where we’d activate a combo and have to press the button in time with the gauge to score critical hits and get a different finishing move based on how many hits we got or something.
Timing? With this games servers? With this games server delay? On a tank?
....
