I want to first state that I am very pleased with how both Ifrit and Moogle battles are done. Sure, animation lock and lag and such things can diminish the enjoyment of the fights, but really, I feel they were designed nicely.

Ifrit, for example, isn't just a stationary target. His dash attacks, the inclusion of the Infernal Nails and the eruptions/plumes are all great parts of the battle. I'm not sure everyone will agree with me because of the agony they've caused, but I feel they really add to the battle.

Now, the one and only thing I'm concerned about is that future primal battles will be too similar. "Attack Shiva, survive diamond dust, finish Shiva."

I hope that the only trend the primal fights continue is the one where each fight has a uniqueness to it in that you can't recycle a strategy from a previous primal fight.

I am about to bring up an example from FFXI.

The Avatar fights in FFXI were all nearly identical. The same strategy could be applied across all of them. (Barring Odin and Diabolos.).

FFXI Example ends here.

When it comes to say, Shiva, I would hope that there would be something like huge, constantly falling icicles that you had to keep moving to avoid and many of Shiva's attacks inflicted bind.

And while I can't think of any examples at the moment, I'd like to see Diamond Dust be something other than a "50% HP heavy AoE magic damage" attack like an ice version of Hellfire.

I suppose the whole point of this post is to say "I like the current Primal fights, please keep them unique." and I would be curious to know what others would want from future Primal fights.

Thank you for taking the time to read.
