Throwing weapons. Pointless?

Hmm grabbing the attention of an enemy as an off-tank. Legit I can dig it. As a dragoon wouldn't a simple jump suffice though?

Well I only use them on the off-chance. For example,when off-tanking slugs at Mistress; since Jump can only be used once on a 1 min. timer, and there are three mobs to wrangle.
