Why do you all feel FFXIV is a sequel to FFXI?

Personally I'm not looking/ not wanting an ffxi-2. I liked ffxi but I didn't like what it slowly became. I want to beable to pick a style of choice and not get bullied over it. FFXIV has some nice features if used properly. And SE and the new dev team are trying to make them easier to understand so you guys can use them properly.

I honest to god hope they do not add auto attack. It gets boring watching your character fight. And in all honesty no one chats in parties much anymore. Most english parties tell ppl to stfu to focus on the exp. Most talkative parties i seen where from japanese. It was not like that in the old days.

I want a new mmo, not a WoW clone that i've seen 30+ times. And not an ffxi clone where min/maxers rule the game like the "popular" kids in high school. And you get bullied for being different.

I just want a fun mmo to play that is new. Something I never played before. And cuz ppl hate change we will never get that : /

Also, the "elitists" (which is the word I think you were looking for) are in every game. In PWI, I was constantly laughed at for switched from xbow to a sword on archer whenever an enemy got to close for my bolts to do any real dmg. In SUN, I run an assassin that is based around his dark magic abilities, rather than his stealth abilities which results in me being shunned. In FFXI, I ran a DD Cor and almost always refused to /whm in non-event parties which resulted in me being blisted by many people. In FFXI on DRK, I almost never subbed nin.

My point is that in every game, there are those who will cut down others based on their play style. I, personally, will cut down people if their play style is completely stupid and makes no sense at all (Thf/Sch for example...and yes it happened). The thing with FFXIV is that any job can be really..any other job. You can put almost any ability from any class on another class. I can turn my CON into a ghetto tank or my GLA into a ghetto mage. This kind of avoids the whole "I'm better than you" thing, but at the same time, it causes the game to fail horribly because there is no real class separation.

it was not meant as an insult , so sorry if it came across that way.It just explains why he feels about somethings the way he/she does.The game is not the same from concept/youtube than from actually playing it.
