    Game doesn't even start, crashes immediately

    Hey guys.

    I got all the drivers for my Graphic Card renewed last week. FF was running fine the entire time, then I tried installing ReShade the day before yesterday with "Espresso Glow" which then gave me an error message. Fine, since I thought it was the only way, I deleted (so basically uninstalled) FF and re-downloaded it yesterday for 13 (!!!) hours.

    The download went well, I closed the game and my computer. Today I wanted to enter the game, it gave me an Error message saying "An unexpected error has occured. Exiting Final Fantasy XIV.(ed)" and that's it.
    Every time I try to open it, the game will just crash and won't let me enter anymore even though it's basically newly installed.

    ANY ideas on how I could get it to run again or how I could fix this issue?

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

    With this new installation, are you still using ReShade, or was this removed from the install folder?

    When reinstalling, did you remove the locally-saved data folder as well (located My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV)?
