    You are hallowing the first TB.
    Most PLDs are going to Hallowed Ground in every fight as fast as they can so they can get a second use during the fight (unless a mechanic cheese they can do is in the fight).

    One thing I hate about playing WAR is how your main AoE is targeted.

    This means when you use Overpower, your character automatically turns to face the enemy you have targeted (and you are required to target an enemy to use it).

    All other tanks have non-targeted AoE, which means I am free to run circles throughout the group of mobs, dodging AoEs like mad, while laying down AoE damage the whole time. The only exception is DRK's wave blade thingie (flood of darkness or what-not?) that is targeted. But you only use that every 30 seconds or so to keep the buff up because it eats MP like crazy.

    But WAR's Overpower makes it rather difficult to dodge AoEs because your character is constantly being turned in different directions when you're trying to dodge at the same time, especially in some dungeons where enemies like to use AoEs every few seconds, and it's also annoying to have that happen during a pull too.

    EDIT: Fact is in some situations I'm starting to wonder if it isn't better to just spam Mythril Tempest and forget about Overpower at least until you have the pull under control simply because it is a non-targeted AoE.

    Being honest, I'd rather they just remove potency from all gap closers and grant them auxiliary effects. Fold the potency into their bigger hits and let the gap closers stand on their own.

    All humour aside, at the very least WAR has my favourite gap closer design-wise. Outside of the IR window and a few niche scenarios, the gap closer is used to... close gaps. As it should. In the heat of actual battle it feels the best to use and makes the most sense.

    I honestly hate what they did with the other tanks... Especially using the same approach for three of them. Would have loved to see one have a damageless gap closer. Or maybe another has a free gap closer, but it has a minimum range of 10y so you can't really use it in a rotation but it's great for when something actually moves away. There's so many ways they could have done it though I guess homogenization is the flavour of Shadowbringers.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    The problem with this is that I LIKE auto-turn in most situations, just not That one. I don't want to turn an entire feature off because of ONE class that has an annoying problem the others don't.

    Auto-turn works great 99% of the time, it's that 1% of the time that's really annoying and rather than change 99% of situations to fix the 1%, I'd rather we just fix the 1%.

    EDIT: Heck I'm not even asking for them to turn Overpower into a radial AoE, they can keep it Cone if they think that is absolutely necessary, but it'd be nice if it was a cone in front of you without requiring a target or something. But then I have similar complaints about BRD and MCH's cone AoEs too, but it's not too life-threatening if I miss a few mobs with quick nock now and then so I don't say much about it.
