Stuck in loading screen during main scenario daily

So after my first real run of the big main scenario quest I began running the daily for the poetics. The first run was perfectly fine, the second as well. However, from the third onward it has begun getting worse with no changes to my computer that I know of, other than windows updates.
Now, what I speak of is loading screens after cutscenes, primarily the one of the armor with the big sword, which will catch me in a loading screen after the scene for so long I won't load back in until the party has reached the first Ultima Weapon fight, though I will get every cutscene in-between.
The severity of this tends to differ elsewhere most of the time that's the only big offender, though once I couldn't participate at all after the first scene. I don't feel too bad about this since it's pretty much an assured victory anyway, but I want to fix it in case it could happen during other parts of the game.

Update: It was recommended to me to reinstall the game onto an SSD. Will update again when I see the result of this.

When the screen freezes, is thee an error message that appears? If so, are you able to provide it on your next reply? I would also recommend to install the game on the C drive. Sometimes problems can occur if it is not installed on the boot drive.

Okay so, I now have FFXIV on my SSD C: drive. My loading speeds are much faster, however I now experience very small freezes every now and again. No error message, screen just locks up for 1-3 seconds and goes back to normal. Which would be well and good, for me at least, if it weren't so deadly in many circumstances. This never happened when the game was on my HDD E: drive.

For the stuttering and freezes you've been having, you may want to try some of the following:

1) Try reinstalling the graphics card drivers, even if they are up to date already.

2) Try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

3) Disable any overlays you may have active (Steam overlay, Discord overlay, etc.).

4) Set compatibility mode to Windows 7. Right-click on the ffxivboot.exe file and select ‘Properties.’ Then select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and choose Windows 7.

Alright, the problem is mostly resolved after following those steps, though I found the core issue seems to stem from certain animations. The most reproducible, and still a problem, is a female Au Ra using /cheer; The game locks up during the middle part of the animation, which on my end just seems like a small stutter.

I'm thinking this may have caused the original problem but it had something to do with the animations in the cutscenes. I hesitated to post because I thought I'd try to find more sources that currently affect me, but for the most part my problem is now only that I will never see a full female Au Ra cheer.
