can we have like a little distance meter somwhere?

nothing hugely intrusive perhaps just a little number to the left of the action bar where the little sword is.
all i really want is to know how far away my target is so i know if i'm at the 8 yalm mark for combos. or how far away the person i'm trying to heal is.

perhaps it's just me but a yalm seems to be a different amount of distance depending on what zone your in.

The bars next to the party member list in the 2.0 image are what you were requesting. However, we are currently planning to use a combination of numbers and colors to represent the different hate levels. For example, 1 or A (aggro) representing red, 2 representing yellow, and 3 and on representing green.
if this is what i think it is could you not just put one of the little hate boxes next to each plaer in the party list. so if i target ifrit i can see who in my party has yellow hate red hate etc.

you dont really ned a 1 2 3 system. though perhaps 1 or 2 more colours. like blue green yellow orange red blinkyred. in a tiny little box next to peoples names just like that little box that comes up near your selcted target

think that would look a lot nicer than a screen full of numbers

It's the red bars in the below image.

I agree that the addition of Blue and Orange to determine the level of aggro you have would be helpful, both before 2.0 and after.

Ideally it would be nice to see 10 levels of aggro, as the bar fills the colour changes from blue to red.

1.) Being able to change the position party members show up in the party member list. Of course the other people in my party may have their own preferences, so any changes I made would only effect the display of my party member list.

2.) Having my own name, HP, and MP bars showing up in the party member list, this would be seperate from my main bars at the bottom of my screen. This has been bugging me since day one.

    Thank you =)
I would they could, but so far, I never seen anything that has been respond from NA side question yet, so I m afraid to say that they can't.

Even this thread is actually information reply to JP side that just got translate here : http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post604817
and all the adjustment so far are actually just because they had the same in JP forum.

There were so many good suggestion around NA game-play mechanic forum and this forum, I wish a those good idea from NA side would be heard .. somedays.

Capital idea my man capital! Having the tanks at the top of the list would be great it has always annoyed me having to scroll down half way to find the tanks.

All-in-all, this is the best news I've heard in a long time! :] Has anyone ever wondered how the CRs determine who gets to post good/bad news? :P "Oh, here's this memo from Yoshi. He wants us to post information on the World Merge--I'm going to lunch! Good luck!"

I have some weird questions about customization, because I'm of a minority (probably?) that likes to have most things bound to keyboard shortcuts and hide the clickable buttons (including action bars), choose the smallest text size, and have the vast majority of my screen open to graphics. :]

I know Rukk said in my thread about the Goobbue horn that it was being discussed to make icons be hideable on the micro-menu, but that it would be difficult for the dev team--has any decision been made? Also, what about hiding it alltogether? ^^ If we can hide individual icons can the ones that "notify" you be hidden unless active (like the mail icon will disappear unless you have a new message)?

Will it be possible to shrink the HP/MP/ENM bars to about half of their size in the screenshot? Can we place a maximum width on the party's status effects that will scale the icons down after they reach it, or truncate the eldest effects?

Can we switch the direction that the party list will expand to (being able to build a list that starts at the bottom and grows upward OR a list that starts at the top and grows downward)? Can we select which side the buffs will show on and whether they align right or left? T _T So I can put party members on either side of the screen. ^^ Also, can we hide our own large HP bar now, since we'll be able to see it in the party list?

Can we choose to hide the inventory bags or replace them with one button per bag, as opposed to showing each inventory slot?

Also, will we be able to select a smaller text size for the chat log/quest information?

And can there be an auto-hide option on the chat log like in XI, where a line will vanish and the chat log will shrink after displaying for X seconds?

Hmm looking at the 2.0 UI again it seems I was wrong, but I'm sure there was a post from either Yoshi-p or one of the community devs saying they plan to add us to the party list.

Edi:- Ahh ok never mind I guess the chocobo is classed as a member, so it is right.

Let us take our own names off, pleaseeeeeeeeee! It takes up so much unnecessary screen real estate and it's just too easy to click on our own name when trying to click on a monster in the field instead. Theres no way this could be hard to implement. We know who are! Why do we need to see our names! Thanks
