I just started playing this game today, and already ran into a big problem. I am physically disabled with very limited use of my hands to the point where I cannot type (I use voice recognition software to control the keyboard) , and I can only press the right mouse button and cannot hold down or use the scroll wheel on the mouse. As a result, I cannot move my character efficiently. I can tell my voice recognition to do the equivalent of hitting the keyboard keys for movement once, but have no way of telling it to do the equivalent of holding down the keyboard movement keys, so using this method, I can only move my character a few steps at a time, which is too slow to get most places. I cannot move my character by holding down the scroll wheel button and moving the mouse, and what I thought was a key to start my character auto-running (R or Numpad 7) doesn't seem to do anything. Can the developers do anything about this? I have been playing World of Warcraft for 6 years, and in that game, the number lock key, which I can use through voice recognition, start your character auto running and then you can control your characters direction of movement by holding down the right mouse button, which I can do. Also, there is an optional click to move ability where you can move your character just by right clicking on the in game ground when the option is enabled. With both these functions in World of Warcraft, I can do everything in game relatively well and efficiently to the point where I regularly raid and run dungeons. I would love to see these functions in final fantasy XIV. I have been an avid fan of final fantasy for years and would love to be able to play the game, but right now, I cannot, and will have no choice but to cancel my subscription at the end of my 30 day free trial. With the revamp of this game for version 2.0, it would be a great chance for to developers to add these functions to allow the disabled members of the community to play this great game. If not, I might even have to consider asking for my money back.
