This gives you a 3 hit combo totals at 1,050
A per action return of 350.

Adding the 4th hit at 360 from the flanking gives you a 4 hit combo of 352 per action.

If you don't flank or use true north it's 342.5 per action. This is a pretty bad loss.

So why would you use it?

If you are using it to extend blood of the dragon, why? 30 second recast timer on blood of the dragon lines up with the 30 second timer on jump, and the 60 second timer on spineshatter dive.

At this point, for that level range, it exists only to give you the option of a 4-step combo filler to complement your 3-step combo filler between Chaos Thrusts. Use whichever combo (4-step or 3-step) will least clip or delay a Chaos Thrust tick.

Once you get Lance Mastery, it actually becomes worth using (i.e. it's finally worth 33 potency rather than... 8).

Yes, leveling toolkits are that underwhelming.

Dragoon leveling has always been janky with some skills becoming obsolete for a handful of levels in the middle of the leveling process and then becoming useful again once more skills in the combo are learned.
