You do it for the achievement, not the knowledge of area. I'm sure people will learn maps relatively quick.*Goes to the store to purchase a map*
"hey shop keeper this map is blank!"
"Yeah you have to fill it in as you go."
"Well I kinda need to know where I am going...can I just get a filled in one?"
"Sure you can do this long quest (with no map to help) or pay me 473840823048023 dollars for one."
"OR...I could just go look it up on google...thanks ..bye."
That's all anyone is going to do if maps are not pre-drawn...welcome back to FFatlas, or FFwiki to get the map...
Such a dumb waste of time.
it's still ludicrous and ridiculous , ppl are just gonna open up a google search for the completed map. It's a silly waste of time. Not to mention unnecessary, and "unrealistic" even for a fantasy game.
I stand by my HILARIOUS example ^^
