Cannot unlock extreme ARR trials

So, I started during Stormblood and my friend bought me a story skip through Heavensward content. I didn't really play much until Shadowbringers came out. Played all the way through Shadowbringers MSQ and decided to unlock more content. Wanted to try and unlock all the ARR extreme stuff for Wondrous Tails and Weeklys, but can't.

Urianger is by Eden and the Waking Sands is inaccesible, on top of the fact I completed most of the Hard modes(Including the Navel Hard) anyway when I started my relic weapon quest.

What do? Do I have to make another character from scratch?

Why is the Waking Sands inaccessible? You should be able to go into it at any time, and there should be a version of Urianger standing in there. Have you tried to go into the Waking Sands to see if he’s there?

So this is a case where gameplay is treated as more important then story. For story reasons, Urianger is doing the Eden thing and no one important should be left in The Waking Sands. But for gameplay reasons, you might still need to do quests that involve him staying behind at the Sands. You could have skipped coils, or the extremes. So your game will still have him standing there ready to hand out or advance whatever quests still need to be done. Once youve completed everything he is involved with from that site, THEN he will disappear from the world and only be found in that Eden area.
