    It's Time: THE TACKLE BOX.

I had a lengthy speech prepared for why everyone should be in favor of the tackle box. Every avid fisherman understands that you can't even hold half of the baits out there without crying. But let me turn a lengthy speech into a visual representation of why we should have a tackle box that is separate from our bags...

It's time: For the tackle box.

It's also time to remind people that the developers have said they can't implement a tackle box without taking up what could otherwise be general inventory slots...

If you even vaguely understand programming (Even giving the benefit of the doubt that it's spaghetti code)

    Yes they can.

There's no reason to carry all that bait around. Realistically how many different fish are you going after? Just buy low level bait as it's needed and keep the relevant high level stuff with you. I'm a level 80 fisher and only have about 4 slots in my saddlebag dedicated to bait. If you're just grinding to level, use boilies.

I believe all ARR level fish now work with 2 bait.
    Check out the boilies.

They "work" in the sense that every fish will go for that bait.
Generally not something a fisher would want, when going for a specific fish.

In which case the bait can be bought as needed, since all the ARR baits can be purchased very cheaply from a variety of vendors. Not many ARR fish are worth farming anyways.

As a max level fisher myself (On V'nesh Aevingale) I do a lot of catching specific fish for certain recipes, certain desynths, mooches, pets - helping people catching their quest fish; certain oils for alchemy - specific housing items or gear pieces. It requires a LOT of specific bait when you're going after specific fish. The catch all bait just doesn't do it. The catch all bait is great if you're just going after achievements for catching all of the different kinds of fish at a particular fishing hole: But it's NOT good when you're going after specific things.

To the person who said the saddlebag is your tacklebox:

Yes, obviously by my picture I am using my saddlebag as my tacklebox...which means I can't use my saddlebag for more...useful things. I for one like to have bait on hand, for whatever fish I may need to go after next for whatever reason. It's more efficient to have it all on me than to have to stop, run back to a housing ward or a specific NPC, go to the scrip NPC, then run back out to my fishing hole (And maybe miss my time window for the catch, or drastically reduce my time to catch said fish by all the running around.)

I would argue if not a tacklebox, perhaps everyone can simply get a gathering tab - where crafting materials go directly into that bag. (Including bait.) I'd even be happy with something like that and I'm sure our botanists and miners would also be happy with something along those lines.

So why can't you purchase the bait as needed? Most of the baits can even be purchased at the same aetheryte you'll be teleporting to.
