Can't seem to unlock flight in the Dravanian Hinterlands

I'm hoping this place is appropriate to inquire about this. I found all the aether current points (using the compass informs me that there's no other currents to find) and I did all of the quests on the map that are marked with an aether current as a reward. Do I have to clear Alexander? Is this a bug? Or did I miss something? Please let me know, because this area in Dravania is the only time I've ever encountered this issue.

When you bring up the aether current list does it show all of the little diamonds filled out under the Hinterlands? Most likely you missed a quest somewhere either in the Hinterlands or in Idyllshire. Sometimes a current-giving quest is locked behind a non-current giving quest that you have to do first (this stopped after HW thankfully), so it can be easy to miss if you're just looking for quest markers with the + symbol on them.

If you open Aether current list and there's still blank diamond for quest, maybe the quest in Matoya's Cave is what you are missing.

Some aether currents are also quest locked. Those are the red diamonds. The green ones are the ones you locate on the world map. Flight attunement completes automatically after you have all greens and reds, so if your compass says it does not detect any and it still isn't unlocked, then you are missing a quest somewhere. Note that some of these quests do not become available until certain prerequisites are fulfilled, so it might not be available. These quests are usually (not always) MSQ related.

The good news is if you do need a quest, it will also be in the same location you're trying to unlock. You can either aimlessly do any quests that are available in the Hinterlands, or search online for the exact quests needed if there are multiple available in that area. Once you see the blue icon with the plus symbol on it, it should be the quest you need to unlock the remaining aether current.

Aside from what everyone above says, which are correct answers, are you trying to fly on a chocobo that isn't the black chocobo? If you've got all 5 of the quest aethercurrents tagged, and all 10 of the exploration ones, you still cannot fly on a chocobo that isn't black if you haven't done the quest allowing you to fly with any chocobo.

Thanks for the help everyone. After checking out what Gemina and LunaChild mentioned, I do in fact have one that's still quest locked. And I think it's in Matoya's Cave, lol.
