you cant filter a chat log to only show tells.Hello! I am (and always will be) one of those people who prefers to clog servers and cause queue lines by afking constantly when not actually playing. My /playtime in XI was ridiculous.
Anyway, I would very much like one of two features to have for /away, both to do with chat:
- When you send a /tell to a player who is flagged as /away, the chat should return a line such as
- This player's status is set to "Away."
- This player is currently away.
- Your message was received, but the player is away and may not receive it.
- Less important--it would be nice if, when removing the /away flag, the game would display a history of received /tells since you put up the flag, somehow.
Just some thoughts. ^^;
Doesn't your chat log auto delete after a certain amount of inactivity?
I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure it's whenever the .log file in My Games/whatever.../ becomes "full," and it starts another log file. I'm not sure if this is a set time, or a set number of chat lines/characters.
I am all for this idea, have played a couple smaller games with the option. I am back and forth some days no matter what game I am currently immersed in, and this would be a very nice feature. I am just starting out here but I KNOW it would come in handy a lot soon![]()
Would be nice if a dev would see this. It's a really helpful feature.

I don't really afk much, but this is a great idea for people who do. Gave it a like. Hope it gets noticed.![]()
I miss xi's chat filtering whenever you pressed the chat filter button, you could scroll through tell say shout linkshell filters, easy and fast.

I would very much like this feature.
/away "Message goes here for anyone that sends you a whisper."
In addition to that, it should remove the /away status once you move, I sometimes catch myself running around with the away icon because I forgot to reset it.I'm all for this. I was surprised when I initially saw that the /away command doesn't have a message when you /tell someone. A visual sign to show people standing near you that you're AFK is neat and all, but not very purposeful.
In addition to an automated response when someone /tells you, there could also be a feature that will automatically set you to /away after a certain period of time where there's no input. Say, after thirty minutes of the game receiving no input (via keyboard, mouse or gamepad), it could set you to /away. Just an idea.
