I don't see much point in that. In any relevant content, if one person were to be removed for the rest of the pull it would be mathematically impossible to beat the enrage so at that point... everyone else might as well jump off and restart the fight.
Besides that, being removed from a fight permanently is simply not fun, for the person being removed or the rest of the party whose job is now more stressful and will take longer even if there is no enrage. Soooo nuh, never, ever. There is literally 0 positive sides to it.

Permanent death mechanics are just uninteresting. They're a cheap shot in harder content since at that point unless its right at the end of a fight you might as well jump. I remember when I first played for a short time in ARR and anytime someone got lag-whacked by Landlside in 2.0 it was 99.9% of the time it resulted in a wipe from lowered dps/less healing output, even if it happened near the beginning, I'm glad they did away with them. It's completely uninteresting gameplay. (Especially for the one who fell off, staring at the battlefield for minutes on end not getting to do anything is not fun in the slightest.)
Now mechanics that remove people from the arena if they fail a mechanic but can then return would be interesting. Like how if you get touched by Ghosts in O5/05s, you got pulled to a separate area and had to beat up an add to get back to the main boss arena. That was a fun mechanic that was punishing, but still gave the power to the player to recover. I'd like to see more of those.


Would I like to see more fights where missing one mechanic causes you to be unable to participate in learning the various other mechanics of the fight?
No. No, I would not.


Yes. And more challenging EVERYTHING, including solo and 4 man content. PLEASE. Game tuned way too much towards the "Brain dead" side of the scale.



I want perma death back.
As someone who's playing through this game for the first time, I find it really cheesy. Especially with the Revana fight where the attack isn't avoidable, so you just have to know before hand what's coming. If you're new to the fight it's basically get lucky or die and get carried.
As much as I love dying immediately to a completely untelegraphed blindside 1-hit kill, where I can't be rezzed, and then watching the rest of the fight, it's not how I'd choose to experience story content.
I know someone will just jump on titan just because they want to go afk and get carried...
and I certainly don't want that in the new contents...
