    Error 11005 (stumped)

    My windows version of FFXIV is through Steam. I been launching it through Steam just fine until Windows did an update last night. Now I can't get this link to work nor can I launch game through the FFXIV file folder. If I try I get error 11005 with message "Unable to launch application. Application is using the ffxivboot.exe file."

    When I located that particular file and launched it it brought up the login screen but once I logged in I got this message "This service account does not have a valid FINAL FANTASY XIV license for this platform or your subscription has expired.
    To register a license, please visit the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station (https://sqex.to/Msp)
    ."

    Following that link, I go to the Mog Station and log in. My service account is all legit. I have 28 days left on my subscription". All windows version of FFXIV are there on the main screen". So at this point I'm stumped.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    So, with 4 hours of researching over the internet wondering why my Steam Client or my ffxiv game wouldn't launch from desktop, I finally found the answer. The problem now is while talking to FFXIV techs over the phone earlier we decided to uninstall the game to see if we couldn't troubleshoot doing that.

    Now I'm looking at a 2 hour download time. Oh well least I know why I couldn't get my game to launch via Steam or the Steam Client to launch. Determination paid off I guess.
