Visuals-based Party-Finder interface

The current party-finder interface, especially the part where you set one up, involves a lot of text, drop-downs and spreader options, eg. I think it’s not that good.

It probably makes a lot of sense to the engineers and software coders who designed it, but to the consumer, it’s a bit lackluster, if not tedious and bland.

Some ways I would consider improvements are, visualizing and streamlining, and re-designing the layout of what aspects go where on that pf panel. For instance, if you mouse-track a players’ movements when they try to set up a pf, it probably goes all over the place as they turn on bits of this and that, while most if not all of that could be streamlined or automated, though some basic stuff already is.

Lesser functions such as whether it is newbie welcoming or not and other partially redundant functions, should take on side and diagonal positions instead of main positions. Drag-and drop, quick-pull and other intuitive ways of controlling for more complex functions such as role limiter. Quick presets. Visuals/dungeon list style drop downs for quick raid selection. Integrated auto-queue or quick-queue selection once party fills. Etc.

A while ago I also made suggestions along the lines of “advanced party finder and tools”. Radical ideas such as integrated macro and position tools. Official Raid data toolkits. Many more of these new designs and streamlining can pave the way for extra features and future functions. Be creative and open-minded please.

There's also no option to select 2-chest or not in PF, despite it being a key sorting condition for many parties as is reality.
