And you know, you are never obligated to use it. You wouldn't be obligated to use this.

Please, name a chat channel that you are absolutely required to use besides /say.

So you don't need to use it to play an MMORPG.

And even still, all it takes is a group of people (you can blacklist any time) to make it into something you don't like.

That's indeed one of the reasons why I think we won't have regional/world chat: RMT advertisement. It's already bad enough for some people as it is. They wouldn't want to make the situation worse.
