PVP exclusive mounts rewards are unfair to non pvp players

So right now some cool mounts like "Goten" are only obtainable through grinding 10+ hours of pvp in ff14.

How unfair is that to non pvp players?!?

I've been playing mmos for over 15 years, it's the first time that i'm seeing pvp exclusive rewards that can be used outside of the pvp sphere. This is absolutely nonsense.

PVP armors like "the golden wolf" counterparts can be obtained as gold saucer rewards for non pvp players so why not make the pvp exclusive mounts also available this way or through daily pve rewards or even in the mog station?!?

I'm playing this game to have fun. Where is the fun when you need to do something you dont like for 10+ hours to get something you enjoy?

I'll be suspending my subscription to ff14 until this changes, if ever...

The difference is savage raid, Eureka and Diadem mounts are readily available to those willing to put the effort in at any time. They aren't timed exclusives part of what's basically a rigged ranking system that can be easily exploited (ranked PvP). Regular PvP mode rewards are fine though. Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with not having them. I really don't. I just think that the whole ranked PvP thing is a waste of time and resources. They should just add these rewards to regular PvP modes through vendors or something. Maybe keep them on a timer to make them feel special but also allow them to be grinded by many in an accessible setting like grinding out, say, 100k wolf marks or a seasonal currency. They put a lot of effort into these Feast ranking rewards, and it shows. It is just largely wasted on the player base since it is accessible to maybe a small fraction of a small fraction of a small fraction of the game's population.

I mean, I'd agree with you if this was the Yokai Watch event but Garo has been ongoing for years without stop and from what I've seen it doesn't even touch the PVP ranked mode. You just need a flat number of wins in Frontlines and/or Feast. And even though it's coming to an end there's still time to get what you want if you hustle right now.

Oh, I was referring to ranked PvP stuff personally. The Garo event and its rewards have been going on for awhile, yeah. Those have been easily accessible to everyone, though anyone who joined as recently as Shadowbringers no doubt had a rougher time. Personally, I went to town on it the day it started and finished it all within a week. It was a long week, but I knew as time went on it would be harder to grind, and I wanted Raigo something fierce.

Ahh! My mistake then, apologies. ^^ And I do agree that that aspect of PVP is really poorly done. Especially given the fact that people had admitted to win trading in the past.

I farmed for the entire Seal Rock outfit just for the coat. It was a horrible experience for me.

So I think people who play PvP all the time, really deserve the mounts they get.

The mounts are there to try and get you to do PvP. why do you think people do PvP?? the stimulating gameplay???
