    Because a few spells are instant cast and can still be used while moving, i really have no grievance with the current system, other than the small annoyance of occasionally having to press the button 2-3 times before it decides im not moving anymore.

    I think they made this because mages need respect. They are like more authorities when standing. Priests are not jumping and running round altars in churches. RP might like this.

    it works in this game...

    it doesnt work for you because you were used to it to cast and run at the same time in FFXIV.


    it felt more unfluent when i casted a spell... then i moved... and 3 seconds later i automatically get stucked at one place..


    that hasnt been very fluent gameplay AT ALL.
    it is totally normal.. that after a radical change you need time to adapt

    All I know is

    fact: /facetarget is an easy easy solution. First line in your macro completely solves the problem. Not hard lol. Doesnt even require thought on your part.

    fact: If you have to run around like crazy you're probably doing it wrong. Either you're in the wrong spot, or your party is really screwing up. In other words, find a new strategy. You shouldnt need to run around excessively, though some fights require a bit of movement. Again, /facetarget is an easy easy easy solution.

    fact: WHMS/BLMS in my LS have no problems. I havent even heard a complaint. They're every bit as effective as they were before, so if you're having difficulties its a personal problem. This is the same thing as animation lock. No its not always perfect, but if you're good at what you do you can avoid the problem. Will it be fixed in 2.0? Yes. They couldn't get it perfect for this server but they provided an easy solution. Failure to use this solution is just failure on your part. Don't blame a game for your incompetence. If you can't adapt, play something expendable like a melee dps. At least that way your party wont be hurt because you're too prideful to use the /facetarget button/macro.

    fact: Its not an issue. It really isn't. Ppl run away and heal just fine. Run away and nuke just fine. Lots of ppl do. Gamepads or keyboards. If its such a problem for you, then that problem is personal. You are doing something wrong. Ask ppl who dont have problems what they're doing, and imitate. If you refuse to do this, then you have no business complaining, and no business playing a game in constant development. Stop the QQ. Yes its inconvenient to add a line in your macro, no it doesn't affect you all that much. /facetarget, /ac "spell of doom", have fun.

    way to jump to the ignorant conclusion that this has anything to do with running around and not casting. that is not what it's about at all. when you are in your spot and throw the first 2 items in your combo and haven't moved during the process then get the

    you cannot perform the action at this time
    you cannot perform the action at this time
    you cannot perform the action at this time
    you cannot perform the action at this time
    it goes off.

    that is not anything to do with movement. that is bad coding and implementation. the problem is not the movement, but the bugs and errors that came along with it that should have been fixed before it was put in. yes, they added a work around for the issue(/facetarget), but a work around for a bad game design is still a bad game design regardless.

    you sit here and say there's nothing wrong and then say it will be fixed in 2.0..... kind of an ignorant and hypocritical statement because if nothing is wrong then there is nothing to fix.

    Its not her fault. It's not mine either that we think this way.

    We haven't HAD any issues with this, we have no idea what in gods name people could be complaining about.

    Maybe, if someone took the time to show a video to the community about what is REALLY happening
    then we would understand.

    But for now, it just looks TO US that people complain about not being able to cast because they don't
    realize that their character still has slight inertia until coming to a complete stop. That may not be the case, but if you REALLY want us to get it, physically show us the problem, we can only get so much out of a post.
