I'm a full time BLM and moving is never an issue to me. If anything, I'm grateful that now I only need to move if I want to cancel a spell for whatever reason :x

For all those ppl making excuse, there are 2 blue arrows in the hp bar that tell u when you stop completely and can start casting. Don't have to make /facetarget macro or anything just look to your screen
The problem is that sometimes when you have moved, spells DON'T cancel. Honestly things were way better when you could cancel a spell by selecting it again. The new system probably isn't too bad if you use keyboard/mouse, but for gamepad users it's horrendous at times. Half the time I want to cancel a spell, moving doesn't work and then when I do want to cast it politely reminds me that I can't while moving.
While I doubt it'll ever get changed back, playing WHM is really, really dull (and sometimes irritating) with this system. The amount of times I've started healing and my target decides to run off causing my spell to fail is stupid, and now I can't run after them to keep the cast going. Not tried BLM, maybe that's more interesting.
I'll get used to it, but certainly don't like the change at all.
Yes it was problematic, but they implemented a band-aid until the issue can be resolved which was /facetarget and surprisingly it works! but apparently let's ignore than and press same spell 5x instead.
Has this issue bugs me in a way or another? it sure has. But Yoshi has clearly stated they want us to get used to the new casting specs as soon as possible to make sure transition to v2.0 is easier, and i support his idea.
This issue isn't game breaking. You can't suddenly just suck as mage because of it.
hmmm it all makes sense. Him spamming the spell is actually making him cancel it and restart and cancel and restart....
So... what was the actual reason for the change again?
Hitting the spell a second time still cancels the cast. I know this because i have canceled way to many spells due to having no visual indication that I was actually casting. The problem is that sometimes when you have moved, spells DON'T cancel. An Aware, Informed, and Critical community is vital for the success of a game.~ John "Totalbiscuit" Bain
I haven't had much of an issue with it. Just make sure you're in the right spot when you start casting and you'll be fine.
However, the skill timer reset issue NEEDS to be fixed sooner rather than later.
My favorite is when i use facetarget to stop and try to start casting and the game still tells me I can't cast wile moving.. lol
