How can I keep my green sprout next to my name until I am ready to remove it?

I don't want to get rid of my sprout labeling me as a new player. I haven't wanted to finish the main scenario quest in order to keep it, but I want to finish the main scenario quest because there are so many msq spoilers on twitter. Please help, I want to find out what is emet selch and meol bread without getting rid of my sapling.

    Thanks

Once you have so much playtime and have passed a certain point in the MSQ you will lose the sprout and there isn't any way to prevent that.

It kinda defeats the point of a new player tag if people who aren't new players can have it.

    Then again... the mentor tag.............

You can't play and keep the sprout forever. You lose the New Adventurer status (and with it the sprout) after you have finished the level 70 quest "A Requiem for Heroes" (the last quest in the Stormblood MSQ) and have at least 168 hours of playtime.

    Thank you!!
I was worried that it was after the end of the dragonsong war. It is nice to know that it's now after the extra stuff from stormblood. Phew!! I am ready to embrace no sproutness. Truly thank you.
