Glamour Overhaul

Here are my suggestions on how to change the Glamour system but keeping it unique and not a copy of WOW.

My first suggestion would be to change the Armoire to instead of being only certain clothing have a slot for every single clothing and weapon in the game and you would have to submit the item to fill in the slot. I would also make it so the items inside are account wide.

This would not only mean you can glamour every item in the game but also means you can set up achievements for getting a certain amount of items like if you collected 1000 you could get an achievement that gives you a title or unique item. This would also get rid of the problem of not enough space in the glamour dresser.


My next suggestion would be to change glamour plates instead of starting with 10 plates you start with 30 so one for each class and on extra. Then I would have it that you can get more plates by either paying irl money or getting them from the achievements I suggested above. This allows those who really like glamour to get extra plates.

I would also make it so these plates can be used world wide instead of just cities. Then I would make it so you can glamour to items from your Armoire in inns instead of using the plates.

If you want a glamour library, something akin to what WoW has, then unfortunately the Dresser is the best we are going to get for some time. As for account wide access, well that would be a lot of profit lost from the MogStation for all the optional purchases.

Possibly we will get more glamour plates in the future, it's still quite new after all and just got 5 added with the expansion so more slots are bound to happen eventually... hopefully anyway. Not sure about allowing players to buy more glamour plates with real cash, seems like it could attract backlash for everyone else who couldn't afford the extras, I'd expect more to be included in the subscription of the game.

It wouldn't be exactly like the glamour library in WOW as you would have to manually submit the item and I could see what you mean about it not being account wide that makes sense. I am quite new the the game so is there any reason they have not implemented something like a glamour library because I feel like I would spend more on the MogStation if I could get achievements for collecting gear or just having a better glamour system.

I see what you mean that it might attract backlash on paying for extra slots but a way maybe ingame to get extra slots would add something to strive for.

The reason the Armorie cannot have every item in the game storeable there is because the Armorie is not actually extra normal storage space at all. What the Armorie does is that it actually literally deletes that item completely from your inventory when you store it, but flags it to be restored as good as new when you want to remove it (this is why it resets all customization on that item when you do so like dyes and spiritbonding, as it's literally recreating the item as new). Limiting it to only special items means that it reduces the risk of bugs occuring due to the Armorie being too clogged with data.

I wasn't saying that Armoire should store stuff I meant that it should be like now you put it in and can't get it out while reseting everything. And a table with every item with a true or false with whether that item has been added to the armoire is not only not demanding but also very simple

only thing want them to fix is let us store mogstation glamour, achievements glamour, and quest rewards glamour in the armoire. That way don't have to take up space in there glamour dresser.
