Kinda my thought. It's an avatar in a game that is 100% pattable. It's like people who get mad about sending virtual hugs. Why? Just... WHY? Of all the things to get upset about in this world, too.

You claimed that it is rude as if it's a given fact, since you didn't state any reasoning behind that. And the game allows it. So either you're wrong and it's just your subjective opinion, or you're claiming that the game is allowing rude behavior, which contradicts their TOS. And from the looks of it, it's more likely that it's your own subjective opinion.

The lala jokes aside I think the small race has the most fun in this game at least I think so. I used to have a Lala alt but changed it to Hroth for a chance at a true beast race.

Welcome to the real world where something being rude is a matter of personal opinion. And frankly, if somebody tells you they don't like something and you do it anyway, it's called harrassment and IS against the TOS. The ridiculousness of your last statement comes from the sheer number of things you can do or say in game that somebody can find rude or demeaning. The same also goes for reality.

And this is another awful argument which has nothing to do with what was actually said. PvP is an activity actually consented to when you join it. Petting somebody you don't know virtually or otherwise without consent is a completely different thing. And as others have said, some people enjoy it, and others don't. You shouldn't expect it to be acceptable just because you feel like doing it. At worst it might even trigger somebody with issues who has no idea you meant it as a friendly gesture. Personally I find it demeaning, because I'm the WoL dammit, not your dog.
