Rescue being used as a weapon

This ability is just annoying to begin with.

I know my casting time and how long I can wait and keep casting before I have to dodge.

Stop using rescue on me Karen and screwing up my rotation cause you think you know better than me. There is nothing more annoying than a rescue happy healer. Had one in roulette recently who would use it on me every time there was an aoe I could easily dodge after finishing my cast and I almost just left the instance. "Stop using rescue I had plenty of time to finish my cast and dodge" "well don't stand in aoes then" ...it's like, I'm not you half wit, let me finish my dang cast /irritated

There is only two times I will use Rescue. One is when I know a mechanic is coming in advance and I'm trying to save a person who keeps getting hit by it. The other is when you proceed to get hit by everything, and complain I'm not healing enough. When the 2nd comes into play, you die ON MY TERMS, and you will not get rezzed if I know we can beat it without you.

I can't count how many times DPS would grab extra mobs, not even realizing, or evening caring that I blew all my CDs on the last big pull. Tanks pull according to their CD availability. You don't do a monster pull when rampart and the 30% cd are both down ;/

I mean at the end of the day, just remember what kind of person those people really are. I just feel bad for them, that their entire train of thought is akin to a toddler or slightly above a bonobo, I mean just *imagine* how bad they are in real life? They may cause you temporary unhappiness in the game, but society, their coworkers, they give that person permanent unhappiness. Every day that person goes to work and every puts up a facade to interact with that person. You aren't alone in truly despise this person. Also if it gives you comfort these same people who do this will experience a life of pain and loneliness, their family will abandon them as soon as possible, maybe a few Pity parties for them. Ultimately they will be old, in an goverment home, rotting in their own bed sores and feces. Slowly dieing in misery, while still blaming everyone but their own piss poor attitude on why life treated them badly.

I made a post previously about adding an option to disable actions that have uncontrollable effects on your character like Rescue, but healers as a demographic seem to be heavily composed of "holier-than-thou knows better-than-you" types who love it too much and are too inexperienced at the game to understand why it's not even that useful and almost always results in a negative outcome unless it's pre-planned in a static or PF setting.

Random DF healers griefing with it or killing people with it (intentionally and unintentionally) is just the price we have to pay for them to watch Twitch clips of better healers pulling people out of mechanics doing their LB in content they'll never actually participate in.

i agree about rescue,it can be used as weapons since as mentioned the healer can use it to pull someone to aoe.

rescue can be an excellent tool to pull someone to a safe zone if it is used properly or get someone killed by mistake like using rescue to help someone get to the other side and accidentally kill him.
when it is between good friends and doesn't interrupt party progress, rescue can also be funny way to troll the friend.
but for a grieving healer,yea that is a good weapon for trolling without a doubt ,its has a rather long cd but its still a tool that can help a person to troll the party.

true its not the tool fault but the person who uses it but the fact remains that it can be used for trolling and that is bad ,also very funny when you pull friends to aoe and hilarious deaths XD, but still very bad.
there are other mmorpg that have a skill for support that work exactly like rescue and those skills can be a tool to troll a party if the healer really wanted to.

its a standard skill but the fact it can and is used to abuse others is a solid reason to change it and if not maybe even remove it, no doubts about it.

if a healer used rescue to abuse you(not other party members but you the victim)then just report him like people said and he will get punish.
and for the OP sorry to hear you got abused with it by the healer in your party,most healers are really not like this at all.

Other skills can be used just as much to troll (need I mention shirk), people troll just by ignoring mechanics or interfering with the party. Healers have had enough taken a way from them, and the jobs dulled to where they are not entertaining, please stop taking away and screwing with their skills because a small number of people use them in a way you don't like.

You can if you don't put on tank stance, which if you were trolling is something you would do.

I've seen it, but not to kill someone. They did it just to be obnoxious. Just because I haven't seen someone killed, I can't assume it doesn't ever happen. I have no idea.

There's always a small group who has to try to ruin everything for everyone, isn't there?
