    Background Graphics

I noticed during a cutscene that the background details were exceptionally clear, though the distance involved was very considerable. I've also noticed some very peculiar effects as I run towards the stairs in Crystarium, apparently also because of too much detail at a distance. Wouldn't it save a LOT of processing to allow distant objects to be less defined by default, while looking more realistic?

It's been a while since my game dev days, but I'm fairly certain that adding a distance blur effect would actually require extra processing.

    Why is that?
Distance blur is the result of focusing light through a lens. With computer graphics (games, animation, etc.), there is no lens to mess with the light, so by default everything is shown with clarity. It is possible to add the effect, but it would require more processing, rather than less. If you'd like to learn more, look up "Depth of Field" and how it relates to games.

Also, while I'm here, I'll mention that this is the Localization sub-forum, which is intended for text mistakes, though I'm not really sure which sub-forum would be more appropriate for this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
