Reimbursement for Lost Tomes due to Wrongful use of Kick

Losing a week of game play and after being hacked is not the same as losing a partial reward for a single incomplete dungeon (you still get some tomes for bosses killed).

Tomes are not rewarded to you until you beat the final boss. At least, not the capped ones. This goes for individual duty tomes and roulette bonus tomes.



OP, if you’re getting kicked with any sort of high frequency from parties, the issue likely lies with you. Not those that you’re running with.

I've literally only ever been kicked when I DCd. And that was like twice in my four years playing this game. The fact that this happens so regularly hints that maybe JUST MAYBE your own behavior might be at fault if you'd like to think back and consider your behavior as if you were the person on the receiving end. If you don't like "wasting" your time, then you need to evaluate behavior bc it sounds like THAT is the reason you're being kicked. If you can't, MMOs aren't for you. Be respectful of other people's time and money too, yo.

Without knowing the full situation, I've played to level 64 and I've done dozens upon dozens of dungeons, and I've never once had a disagreement with anyone, nor have I been kicked from a dungeon.

If this is happening to you repeatedly, examine your behavior. If you are instigating arguments, for example, by offering advice that people don't want (or any other list of reasons), then that can and often is viewed as harassment, and it gives the party a reason to vote kick you.

It is, after all, a VOTE kick, so something must have happened to justify these people removing you and waiting for someone else to fill your role.

This is the heart of it. Why are you getting kicked repeatedly when very few players in this game *ever* get kicked, and why do you think you should be compensated for something that must be far more justified than you want to believe?

It's a game, man. People just want to run the content and have fun. If something you are doing is ruining that experience for them, whether you agree or you don't, they have every right to remove you and you are not entitled to compensation.

So let me get this straight, you did something that resulted in you being kicked. you came here to complain and demand to be compensated for being removed from the dungeon. Yet you have yet to give us any resources. logs or anything to show the context of what happen, all you keep saying is how you are wrongfully kicked and and being harassed and demand SE to give you stuff they are not entitled to give you and you compare your WoW account being hacked and GMs recovering stuff to being removed from content you can just queue up for again and complete.

Also good job of you lowblow calling out the data center you are in when this can happen in any data center/server. no wonder people think Crystal is a joke or full lazy special entitled players. because threads like this.

I think it would help the people posting here if you were to explain what it was you were talking about anyway. You're playing the victim but not even providing us the facts of what went down. If you feel you're so wronged and innocent then show us either the chat log or actually explain what it was that happened. I mean if you're completely innocent you have no reason not to right?


You get no time penalty for being kicked and can always run back in again to complete it. Hell in the time reading each of these posts you would probably be 2/3 through the dungeon anyway if not already done.

The fact that you are trying to single out Crystal completely is what really pisses me off. I've been on all three of the NA DC's and they're all great and also have their same fair share of gits. I can bet my bottom dollar no one would vote kick you unless you did something to cause it. Even then it'd be something pretty stupid as most people on here are extremely passive.

I find it so funny that your post about demanding compensation for being "wrongfully" kicked is sheep's clothing over a "CRYSTAL IS BAD" style post. You look like you had a hornet's nest fall on your head from whacking a tree and while running to escape stepped on a rake that hit you in the face.

It's happened in the last year and alot of times I think its attributed to the updated ToS that's been used as a scapegoat for these awful people to try to rationalize any disruptive behavior. I noticed an almost immediate rise in hostility of players with the rolling of data centers as well (Crystal), ex. with 1 other friend premades we've had to get rid of so many tanks that will literally sit down in a dungeon if you poke them to keep up their AoE (almost always Aurum Vale).

Lower brackets we've had to deal with DPS stopping from being prodded they need to use AoE's, and explain that it's wonderful this xpac got rid of TP.

Trolls are at an all new high, I didn't have to deal with any of this last 2 years of ARR or HW. It's so rampant now it's becoming problem for my friends and I either together or as individuals to keep up completion.

Also going to heavily edit this post now seeing as the main point isn't being argue, it's being heavily derailed with strawmen and assumptive ad hominem attacking a personal experience shared instead of mostly criticizing the suggestion and folks can see the example in quotes.

As much as you wanna paint a picture of an intent, it's not the intent. No matter how hard you wish it and yearn for it to demonize someone. Every bit of experience is meant to be shared to provide a background. Please attack the suggestion. The argument, not the person.

I'm seeing this quite often, this is referred to as the "False Cause Fallacy", or immediately coming to conclusion that correlation equals causation. A wrongful kick is a wrongful kick regardless of how often it happens.

Despite how many disagreements you get in with someone, that is still no license to completely deny them the work that they have done with you. A wrongful kick is a wrongful kick no matter -how much- you dislike someone. And I want Square to have an intervention to reimburse lost progress to a meta line of thought, which I'm seeing here, that disagreements are congruent to harassment. A paid service needs to provide protection or insurance against player abuse.
