Happy to report that the Distant Worlds concert was everything I had expected - grandiosity, poignancy, nostalgia, sentimentality - the list goes on. You can check out programs from both Friday and Saturday nights here. As you can see, Zanarkand and Eyes on Me were played consecutively on Saturday which made it tough to hold in ALL THESE FEELINGS. The encore for Saturday was an audience singalong to One Winged Angel, which as I understand, was also the encore for Pittsburgh. Ran into a few cosplayers, really was hoping for more! Took pics with a very jovial RDM and Le Louche (?) - pic here.
Amazing amazing experience. I urge everyone to experience it if you have the chance.
In closing, here is Susan Calloway, Arnie Roth, my buddy Haruhara Haruko of Bodhum and Nabuo Uematsu.

Very nice. The playlists for both days look quite awesome ! Too bad I'm probably not gonna be able to see them live anytime soon.
By the way I think the white-haired cosplay is Setzer from ffvi.![]()
That looks like tons of fun! Makes me think of my show. Did they do the encore sing-a-long of "One Winged Angel?" At Boston, they had the audience sing along, with a pre-performance "Here's what to say and when"
Now I'm starting to think that my show wasn't that special!I seriously and naively thought that the singalong was for the St. Louis audience only. But alas, it was just a repeat of Pittsburgh, Boston and earlier shows.
We had a voice exercise prior to it with the pianist giving us the chords to "Sephiroth!" and the audience practicing to sing it on key and in tempo. The overall effort was good, but implementation was...let's just say that once the piece started playing, the audience sat in awe while lines of Latin from the main portion of the song appeared on the screen. LOL! The "choir" was alive again at the "veni veni venius ne me mori facius" part. It was great!
I was thinking of attending this /sigh wish I would of but taking care of my gram more important then me getting out but next time im so going
