You could try learning how to play the game then you wouldn't have to struggle with DPS checks. I played through the whole MSQ as a tank and had no problems at all you def shouldn't be struggling as a DPS

It's worth noting that they actually adjust the HP pools on the MSQ bosses to make them not take forever for tanks/healers.
it takes comparatively less effort to beat the DPS check on a duty boss as a tank/heals compared to a DPS due to their rotations being simpler.
I did that fight on RDM... but for DNC, you have a major mobility advantage over him, and you can kite without stopping. Learn his patterns and then nail him with technical step windows and make sure to keep SS going without missing a beat. I wish I could redo it on DNC to offer better suggestions.

I dont remember having any issue with him, playing as a healer (SCH)
Larek Darkholme @ Ragnarok
I think you encountered something that might happen with computers and programs. Unlike real life, everything here is basically a machine - man-made and thus with errors. Heck, my last blue screen was random and never happened in years.
Especially when it looks like everything works fine but in fact it's just an "illustion" on your side. I had one recent death in the Aether...bla bla...laboratory where I Displaced myself out of the boss AoE first and was the only one who got hit and died.
I might have had a tiny, rare lag spike and the engine kept repeating the input (casting bar going up the same speed, my mates doing their attacks as before) on my screen while in real I was too late. It was not notable to me so I was baffled, but I a assumed a tiny cog in the huge machinery of online real-time video gaming was stuck for 2 seconds and that cost me my Lalalife..
I assume you have made it meanwhile, so it was a one-time thing.
Same thing happened to me at the level 75 dungeons last boss. Everyone but me was dead used limit break showed his hp as zero and then hit him 2 times after that and he still didn't die and killed me. They really need to fix the bosses and on there hp bar show how much is left and not a gauge. Like I will notice your whole party standing in same spot but some gets hit when others don't. Never could undersand how that happens if one gets hit they all should if there in same spot.

Thousands of players have made it to end game. Which means you can too. Don't get angry or upset. You can do it. In the meantime you can download exit lagoh I know it won't but what I was seeing on my side was me giving him loads of damage and his health hit 0% within plenty of time yet he stayed standing and his meter kept going down. this tells me the server wasn't poling as fast as my client was and really makes me not want to play the game
This is just FF XIV's horrible netcode rearing its ugly head. There are no excuses for it. The difference between server and client side information should be so slight that we, as players, should never notice it (play virtually any other MMO on the market and you will see how it's supposed to be). Sadly, not enough players kick up a fuss about it, so don't expect it to change anytime soon.
got to love the server tick.
I killed him as a healer. You have no excuse.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
