Google search and good luck!
For the first 50 levels it's grind. Some do it straight up, old school. Some use levequests but in my experience, gear as best you can and find a node with a mat that shows 95% base success.
For botany, Field Mastery I is 5% to that making 100% and there is always a node with 10% to gathering that means you won't need Field Mastery on it. That will replenish GP and you can run that indefinitely. If you are even getting 1 obtain nothing you lose a huge percentage of experience when you count experience from a node and not a swing. So it's never enough of a gain to go above assured gathering. Lower gear just reduces the level where you will see 95% and that will be a decision you need to make on your own. Do you want to be HQ cap geared all the time or do you want to tough it out on a lower node because gear simply gets too pricey. In the end though, it's a grind.

You regenerate 6 leve allowances a day. If you arent already using them to level something else, toss those into your DoL(no point being capped and not getting them). If i remember right, the appraisal leve is the best one to do. Put the difficulty level as high as you can tolerate, use your GP and drink cordials as needed. Do your class quests. Every 10 or so levels it wouldnt hurt to check if your gear is helping or hurting your progress. And if you also want to make a bit of profit while leveling, spend some extra time studying the market board for your server. There are probly a few things you can gather that sell frequently enough and for a relatively decent price. Once you find them, gather a stack or two and have your retainers list them. If you have any cheap materia put it on your gear as you level(the stat boost probly wont matter, but spiritbonding your gear faster is still a benefit), just remember to retrieve it when you upgrade said gear(converting the gear to a new materia ideally).
Oh, and it doesnt hurt to take a break from time to time. Grinding out the lower levels can be a chore.
Do grand company turn ins every day, and make them HQ. You'll get the exp from farming to get the 10 pieces of HQ for the turn in plus the double exp from the turn in. I suggest doing mining at the same time, since the gear is the same for both.
There are no useful gathering guides until you unlock collectables.
Gather everything at every level at least once.
Use GC turnins.
So far advice in this thread is spot on.
If you really want to speed level DoL classes, doing FSH first might be a good idea as its leves reward far more EXP per allowance comparatively.
Getting it to 50+ will allow you buy survival manuals for a small amount of scrips which ease the grind of MIN/BTN significantly.
