    Lopsided reports?

So I got pulled into GM prison today, for the first time since the release of this game, I've usually never been one to lash out at others, so I know exactly why I was pulled in, however I get the feeling the GMs in this game are really lopsided and don't actually work with the players to find out both sides, instead just slapping people with warning when reported over something that could have easily been worked out, had both sides been seen. I even asked to actually speak with someone to point out my side and was told no, and given no actual details as to what was fully against the ToS regarding the wording I used, and how the reporting party was also harassing me.
I'm not really complaining, however I just wanted to know if anyone else feels the same with the system they have in place at the moment, if you've had someone really rude upset you then report you and get slapped with a warning without hearing your side?

I just find it odd that in a game you pay for a sub, I feel like I've seen better GM management and handling in free to play games.

(This is specifically just to get numbers for a classwork assignment, and this happening peaked my interest to use if for just that. I'm editing this in because too many people want to come in with a holier than thou attitude, when I'm simply trying to gather data, I know if I got a warning I deserved it and know exactly what I did as I stated. Feel free to keep posting and repeating the same thing if you wish, just putting this here for people who wish to comment without fully reading through.)

This might be a bit ot, but... so this GM prison place actually exists, yes?
I heard of this i few times but thought it was a myth.

    So, what's the penalty?

So, you think picking on Lalas for their size is fun, huh?! Just a friendly reminder: We have ideal height to headbutt your balls, so you better keep this in mind.

It is, it's just where I was informed that I was being warned because someone reported me. Though as I said the reporters were also harassing me x.x Which is partly why I was curious if anyone else had the same issues, surely GMs are supposed to work with the players not just slap warnings at people.

If the GMs gave you a warning then you most likely deserved it.
They can access the logs you know, basically allowing them to see extactly what happens. Maybe the reporters got a warning as well, you don't know that, but it seems you prefer to just play the victim.

When did I ask for pity? I'm not playing the victim, please re read my post, I'm asking if anything similar has happened to others. Just because I'm posting about it doesnt mean I'm playing the victim. I did deserve it. I called someone trash. I know what I did, as I said I'm usually not one to do so.

Just as the person who reported you, you have no right to know what punishment that player received.
That is part of the Privacy clause of the ToS.
So, while it may appear to be "one sided", that is only because you are privy only to your side.
If the player was equally at fault, likely they received punishment based on their conduct and past conduct.

I dont have personal experience here, but I never really cared for the argument "But he said mean stuff first/too!", so I see nothing wrong with the GMs not really considering that - specially not if we consider that there is a good chance we're all adults here and therefor should be able to walk away from any provocation instead of reacting to it. And if someone cant do that, it seems justified to me for them to be slapped with a penalty or warning. This isnt kindergarden after all.

In addition to that: You have the same tools at your disposal, aka: reporting the person harrassing you. Instead of calling them names yourself and opening yourself up for a report. Seriously, someone saying/doing something that is against the ToS doesnt turn that enviroment (for example a chat) into a ToS-free-zone in which everything goes now. You're still liable for your actions.

I'm very glad you all like to point out what I already did. I asked a simple question, as I'd like to personally see if it happens often for a specific reason. If you have no answer on if it happened to you or not that's fine however I already know all that you're spouting out, I'm not upset I know I said things in chat that got me in trouble. Think of it almost like an assignment for a statistics class. I'm just interested in the information. I know I can report someone if they upset me, can we move past that to the reason I posted please.

From the GM side if you were being disruptive to outside of the party with the argument, the more disruptive would get punished. That's human nature of a police/militant/dictatorship state. From the other side of the coin, I'm not sure why both parties are not punished as SE often states that they will never interfere with the dealings of players between themselves; but when they do its always militant action taken. There judgement and penalty was cast prior to yo going to GM jail. This is the two dogs on a porch scenario. One agitates and the other bites. The agitator, no matter how large or small a role they played, usually never gets punished.

As it was stated this is very untrue, the GMs usually do see both sides, and punishment is given to anyone who managed to do something in the logs (Obviously nothing the can do if its not in the logs) I'm just trying to gather some information in it personally. It's a sucky scenario it really is, but most of us are adults, it just perked my curiosity is all. Being the man I am I like to look into things and rack up numbers.. ;w; it's a weird... curiosity I guess.
