Eternal Bonding Ceremony, unable to complete quest.

I paid for a bonding ceremony wristlet and went through the quest up until the part where you pick a date and time and complete the quest to get married. The other player I was to married, vanished from the game for two years. Showed up one day and moved to another server.

I figured as long as I had the band I could complete the quest with someone else, but I found out that this other person's name is still on my wedding band, that I paid for and didn't complete the quest with them because they vanished on me.

I am now trying to use this band that I paid for to finally complete the quest and there is no option for me to restart the quest. If I cancel it, it says it will take my band and I have to purchase a new one.

I never complete the quest and this is pretty much taking my money for goods not returned, can someone please help? Is there a way to fix this? I don't want a refund I just want to be able to use the item I paid for already without having to pay double as it wasn't my fault this other player vanished on me.

Even if this is a game a lot of people play to escape from reality there still is the occasional lesson to be learned from it. This time: Don't try to marry some stranger you met on the internet and you don't really know that well just to be married.
If you plan a wedding in RL and your partner doesn't show up on the day you also can't marry someone else for free a few years later. At least you only payed a few €/$/whatever for this lesson, there are others that did not get it so cheap.
Else if you are really motivated to give it a try then contact the support at least compared to normal users on the forum they might be able to help you since if they are motivated to they are basically gods in this game world and they tend to answer prayers more common than the RL ones.
