They are planning on streamlining it.

1. You are progressing, you are still gaining exp and gil and unlocking content. Most importantly you are progressing the storyline, welcome to Final Fantasy! If you are so far beyond it you might consider leveling another job.

2. Are you playing during the prime time of you data center? If you are playing what is the middle of the night for you datacenter queue times might be pretty bad. As Damage it's always worse than healers and tanks. It's also still kind of the start of the expansion and people probably aren't doing roulettes as much as they usually do. People doing roulettes fill out the parties for those doing specifics.

I expect they will do every quest unrelated to the Waking Sands ones :P
