    Solo Dungeon

Who else thinks we should be able to solo a dungeon. When you are high enough level it doesn't make sense that we need to sync our level down to level 15 to do a dungeon that we could probably run ourselves if we're level 60 or even level 40. I know it's to help us cooperate together but it would help show us going from a level 15 character that needs help of a light party. To a higher level character that can solo a dungeon that used to give us so much trouble. I know the trust system helps us by allowing us to use NPC but for those of us that haven't finished the or even started the new DLC yet. I have a level 48 character we still have to rely on waiting in the queue for people to join the dungeon raid when we are strong enough to possibly solo it as long as our level didn't get synced down.

Go to duty finder. options in the top left/top right corner (forget which one) tick "undersized party" You can go into any dungeon/trial with as few people as you want and your level will be unsynced.

You don't get XP for going unsync. Which makes sense: A level 60 character can learn nothing from beating up level 15 enemies.

No you won't. It specifically warns you if you underman a dungeon that no EXP or items dropped by defeated enemies will be gained, however treasure chests are still found throughout them and appear after defeating a boss.

Another way of soloing certain dungeons is to get to Second Lieutenant rank in your Grand Company and unlock the Company Squadron, and level them enough through their training regiemes to be able to undertake 'Command Missions', which is basically running a dungeon with the Company Squadron as your other party members. When this available it cannot be accessed through the normal Duty Finder, you physically have to enter the Company Barracks at your GC HQ and speak to the GC Commander in the Barracks and select 'Command Missions', and select the desired dungeon and form your party. Note that at the moment only a limited amount of ARR era dungeons are available through this system. I'm not sure if SE will add more to it later on, but with the new Trust system in Shadowbringers I'm liable to believe that they will not sadly.

And speaking of Trusts, that is a third option for when you start SHB's storyline, this is a system where you take certain story NPCs along with you into certain main story dungeons in SHB and you gain EXP and items as normal. Trust NPCs cannot have their AI changed or set (unlike the Company Squadron) but their AI tends to be more on the ball than the rather dimwitted Squadron members who require constant micromanaging to function properly. Completing a dungeon with the Trust system then allows you to rerun that dungeon with Trusts any time you like by simply selecting 'Trust' from the main Duty menu. The Trust system is automatically gained fairly early on in SHB's storyline.

Either way, there are ways to solo run dungeons, but they all have their positives and negatives, and limitations.

I figured I'll level 60 could destroy a level 15 dungeon and no time and it would make sense they would not get any experience but if you are that high level you shouldn't be doing the low-level dungeons anyways I'm talking about a level 30 doing a level 15 dungeon solo just as an example yeah they're a bit high level but going in Solo would still be a bit more difficult they could reduce the Rarity of the item drops to help even it out

Enemies beyond a certain number of levels below you stop giving exp anyways (10? 6?) or give reduced amounts. If they treated the dungeon mobs like overworld enemies you wouldn't get any experience anyways. If you want to be able to play dungeons solo I recommend looking into Adventurer Squadrons. They deal more damage than a lot of randos from DF, but their AI is pretty bad so you have to micromanage them in some boss fights.

Liked how Tera online had it where you could pick solo or party for dungeons and still get exp. and all the item drops. If they every add option for solo dungeons like Tera Online has they should let you take your chocobo in with you.
