That's what Provoke and quick reflexes are for. MT goes down, quick provoke and activate stance, go back to 1-2-3.Shirk doesn't work like that. It gives them like 20% of your enmity...you would still be top threat and by orders of magnitude. Shirk is best used when you are OT and you have stance on in case MT goes down. The enemy will instantly switch to the OT without provoke. Until then your Shirk when available to make sure MT stays MT unless you Provoke for a tank switch or MT goes down.
