Yes it's an older topic, but I don't care. Pretty much everything that anyone could say on the matter has already been said.

Yes please. Nothing beats being a BLM and using the shield ability to keep up damage and not dropping Enochian/leaving your leylines just to have a healer pull you anyway losing you more GCDs than you would have lost by simply moving. Like wow... It is almost as if they do not know we have a shield...

As a BLM, I support this message.Yes please. Think they're more likely to get rid of the skill altogether than to give it "additional options". So far in SB ive only used it a couple times in titania ex to yank people away from edge that get that confusion/fear debuff and to yank in range that stand too fucking far away to get aoe heals but that's about it really. If a serious healer is rescuing you you're prolly doing something wrong, so quit fucking up!![]()
Yes, this happens. Not incredibly frequently, but ignore marks as a form of harassment are very common in PVP mainly and I've seen it used in alliance roulette many times over the years. I've seen it happen to both others and myself.
I understand how irritating it is to be playing competently and have an antsy healer start yanking you around the battle area (I had the neural silencer enabled regularly in WoW), so I do support your suggestion to be able to disable Rescue in certain content. Nobody needs to be yanked out of their leylines by a healer who's having a bad day.
That being said, I feel that you're presenting the issue a little bit disingenuously. Two dungeons where a new tank may cause issues for a party of sprouts, and a well-placed Rescue can fix things up quite well, are Brayflox's Longstop and Dzemael Darkhold. In Brayflox's Longstop, I've had new tanks who are so focused on keeping themselves out of the venom on the final boss that they don't realise it's healing the boss. In Dzemael Darkhold, I've had tanks who won't move the eye into the crystal-affected area so that it can actually take damage.
New tanks will regularly not read the chat. Further, my data center contains Typhon, Kujata and Tonberry, and thus we have a large language barrier in parties. (I can and do give instructions and tips in both E and J, but most are not bilingual). All the good intentions and explanations in the world won't help a tank who isn't reading chat because they're tunnel-visioning, or who doesn't speak your language (auto-translate is often not robust enough). This is just something that happens with a lot of new tanks. It's to be expected, and it's totally okay. We have a tool to deal with it. Rescue is your best tool for a smooth and efficient resolution.
I give up with you people. Forum community is absolutely unhinged. Imagine joining my alt's FC just to wait for me to come online to harass me lmao.
If it's used as a trolling tool, report it. If the healer tried to use it in good faith, don't see it being an issue. Sure it's annoying sometimes to get randomly rescued, but it's usage is not so widespread as is being dramatised here.

I wrote it because I've seen it a lot in all kinds of content. Can't see what server you are on because I'm using the mobile version of the forum atm but there are places where it happens, yes. People who harass players seem to be unoriginal and copy each other so ideas like this spread, like how they all say "stop crying" if you answer back and almost everything is said sarcastically like "nice job" on wipe. Fair amount of those clone salty people around.
