Character Creation

I do enjoy the character creation. However it would be awesome if there was a bit more color pallets available for hair and eyes, more vibrant colors.

Plus I would really appreciate being able to have the choice of, for example, all the different horns and all the different faces instead of having a specific face/eyes so on with that one set of horns (not sure if I explained this well)

Mostly I really really wish there were more vibrant colors available for hair and eye colors, just an expansion on the color pallets!

I can assure you that you are not the only one who feels this way, particularly with the horns being locked to face thing with Au Ra (but at least we're actually able to choose our hair unlike a certain other race...)

However the devs have gone on record multiple times stating that expanding upon the character creator is a tremendous and difficult undertaking because blah blah blah server and resource limitations. They're even having a difficult time implementing the Midlander stubble we've seen in the ShB benchmark.
But they are well aware of the demand for more options.

Also I often notice that in the actual game, the character doesn't quite look like it did in the creator. They should give us a 30 minute window or so in which we can "testdrive" the look see if we like the outcome, and have a chance to eventually fine tune or change some things if we don't.

probably never happen since they thrive off the quick change fantasia sales

best bets just to make a alt and see if it looks good there

Um, I can't say I like the idea of "vibrant colours" in FFXIV ;
That basically means neon colours and I've always disliked that in other MMORPGs, so I for one am glad that FFXIV is not like that.
