My setting suddenly changed without reason(??)

Hello, this is my first time writing on a forum, so bear with me even though I am not clear.

I have until Stormblood as my laptop cannot handle Shadowbringer.
I usually play in 30 fps, using DirectX 9 option.

However, from one day, my launcher has changed its size to small one.

(I used MS Paint as background to show how small it changed. It was at least 1.5x bigger i believe )


Still, with that I was able to deal with what I was playing.

However, something happened last night ( I don't have screenshot of it ), closed it, turned on today, and it is still here and now am asking for help.

As I told, i usually have 30~35 fps, but now I am stuck in 15 fps (which is not very good )

Does anyone know what to do? I have not changed any settings at all.

If you ask me whether I did something, I have recently installed my drawing tablet driver (installed new one!). That's all I did.

And no, i have not done any change in resoultion. Only thing done to my laptop is installing drawjng tablet driver.

Did you experience this before the tablet drivers were installed? Are the graphics drivers updated? If not could you update them?

I have not experienced this. I went into devmgmt.msc to update my graphic driver, and it is already in its best state.

Just logged in back to see if anything changed, my fps was still 19~22 with nothing changed :/

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

Could you try switching to Direct X 11? Could you also provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

I tried switching to Dx 11, and my fps became 9. My laptop cannot hold Dx11 too much. :/

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

I noticed on your system report, the graphics card does not meet the recommended or minimum system requirements. That could be part of the problem. Another thing you could try is running the game in full screen or borderless windowed mode. Please also try lowering the UI settings as well.
