Direction of Bard?

I just wish the buffs felt a bit more part of the archer aspect; i.e. we use a buff and then a particular combo might strengthen the buff or extend the buff or grant extra effects to the buff etc. Though that would be kind of difficult given how classes and jobs work, you can't exactly have weapon skill combos on the class purely built for the bard job.

I do like bard but the songs seem a bit 'stuck on' at times. (also if no one already mentioned it during the whole /thau subjob discussion, resonance also increases the range of your songs so you get sanguine and resonance from thau.)
