Everything that we use to level alts jobs is repeatable content and much of it is solo. I cannot fathom why this repeatable content provides no experience other than it being relatively fast IF you run around like a maniac skipping every cutscene and clicking through dialogue in which case, they could nerf the XP slightly because levelling through the story over-levels you up to Shadowbringers and the mandatory dungeons and primals would make up the rest.

I actually don't mind running regular dungeons to level but I hate deep dungeons and the queues are ridiculous for DPS, especially if you play off-peak.

What's more, there are jobs that I feel really shaky with in group content but I still want to play through the fantasy of being that job in the story. Being shaky in the few mandatory instances and picking up your skills organically is one thing but being forced to do it over and over just to have the privilege to play the story as that class is another.

Yes I could make an alt character but Square Enix thinks alts are evil and does everything in their power to make it an unattractive prospect. I thought the whole point was that we could leave alt characters behind and truly focus on one character.

Finally, why can't we have fun levelling alt jobs? There are a million guides out there telling you the most efficient and mind numbing way to do it but none of it is actually fun when you do the same thing over and over. The story is long enough and diverse enough that even if you start the whole process over when you are done, it will still feel fresh unlike everything else and for most players, it will take FAR longer than any of the other methods so again I really don't see the issue.

If there are ways to exploit the system then fix them individually. Don't spoil it for everyone playing through the story naturally.

I'm so disappointed and I hope they reconsider before ARR is released as NG+
