Devs spend a lot of time on savage and Ultimate, yet a small portion of players use both. The resource argument applies here. It also applies to GS, or Fates, Or EX or whatever. New glamours? Thats eating resources from some other project.

The resource point is always a mess and subjective to the point where it is almost meaningless. The true point is the devs trying to balance between what they know is gonna be more niche vs what has wide appeal. They gotta do both for the game to remain healthy. they keep putting off niche projects in favor of 'widespread appeal', theyll end up stepping on everyone's toes eventually and making things to easy/generic.

IMO, NG+ was inevitable. The game is to expansive for it not to exist. Part of the fun of a deep story is to be able to replay certain parts. The 'Unending Journey' table was only a stop gap at best. And mind you, people arent actually complaining NG+ exists. The core complaint is that it doesnt exist in a capacity they want (Namely exp). Soon as it doesnt have exp, its a 'worthless feature'. Which tells me the issue isnt with NG+, its that people want another leveling method.

Yes, but the person I quoted implied that this content has no impact on any other player. The devs are always first to use resource defense, so you can't just wave it off. I do agree we will never truly know the cause of picking this over something else we may never see. People are saying this was asked for lots. While some people will still want it. You think some of the clamor would have disappeared if they were told it is just rerunning NPCs talking and killing a few guys so they could feel the immersion again.

I am not really looking forward to the posts. Oh people you should do chapter 2.44, because some npc mentions what is happening in 5.1.

Not really looked through LL. Is this before or after they fix the bloat in the MSQ or simultaneous. Which would explain a lot. It allows them to archive quests that they remove and allow new players to move through MSQ faster, but also keep lore off to the side for people who want to see it.
