"New game plus - quests will have no rewards..."

It may have been lost in translation, but does this purely mean that there will be no gil and item rewards (which is understandable) but still giving exp so we have an alternative to POTD and HOH for leveling alt jobs - or does this mean: no rewards att all and subsequently that new game plus is a completely useless feature?

People have been wanting to replay the story without creating alts for ages. Exp or no, new game plus won’t be useless & will make a lot of people happy.

There are so many story quests I've wanted to redo for the awesome fights. This ain't gonna be useless, many people have wanted this and I see it getting a lot of use.

You mean those where you had to take the role of NPC's and defeat the major baddie in that chapter? I hated those. I had to intentionally fail them until I got the Echo buff, so I could just get them over with.

I looked forward to these just as a way of leveling alt jobs, instead of just running sidequests and dungeons.
No XP = no-go for me.

Ok. Well it seems like if you just, you know, played those fights right, you would probably get them done faster than dying until you got all that echo. But I guess you do you?

Beyond that, if its a no go for you, ok. Dont use it. That's fine with the rest of us who want it for story. I think this is literally the big difference in mindset Im seeing. For everyone who wants it for story - theyre happy and whether it applies exp or not isnt relevant. For everyone who wants it as a means to level but might not get exp - its trash/shouldnt be implemented/waste of resources/etc. Not that Sam is saying this, but this is the vibe Im getting from people who are really upset that it might not give exp.

There are lots of solo instances throughout the MSQ where you are in control of your own character and have unique objectives.

Some examples that come to mind:
- rescuing Raubahn from Halatali
- the second raid on the Vault accompanied by Aymeric and Artoirel
- the Grand Melee and solo fight with Raubahn
- the Naadam
- job quest battles

There are lots more but that's enough to give the idea.

I recall only the job quest battles I think. My gameplay is just about leveling and getting gear. (450 gear is good enough for me, so I'm done with that.

It's all MSQ stuff besides the job quests. Most of the ones I listed were from 3.X but it's been happening throughout the story.

Some more recent ones from Shadowbringers: rescuing Minfilia; the large-scale sin eater attack on Lakeland; the pyramid in Rak'tika with the patrolling guards; breaking into Eulmore and fighting the jesters and Ran'jit; accompanying the Exarch in Kholusia.

Yeah, though honestly what I wasn't wasn't really a full on new game +. Just adding solo instance battles to the journal thing we rewatch cutscenes from would have made me happy.
