**might be Shadowbringer spoilers below - don't read if you haven't finished MSQ**
So I was thinking about this thread and came across this video back in February 2019 when the collaboration was first announced:

You can see that they're even joking about how Yoshida-san might be trying to destroy FFXIV by collaborating with Nier. xD Even if the alliance raid is a shoehorn, I'm still looking forward to seeing how they try to make things fit. It may end up being ludicrous but at the same time may also reveal a little more about the world of Nier: Automata.
Now that I think about it, my guess is the raid will take place in the First since some of the elements on Mt Gulg (like the white blocks) reminded me of scenes from Automata.
By the way am I the only one who noticed the Secret of Mana reference (flock of pink birds flying across the screen) in the Qitana Ravel dungeon as you emerge from the waterfall?
I can't get no! Satisfaction.

Considering the possible unlock quest is taken from a dwarf in Tomra and sends you to investigate a "mysterious machina-filled ruin" which you aren't yet allowed in, it's more than likely to take place on the First. The dwarf siblings from that questline can be seen in some of the promotional images they showed of the raid in the LL.You can see that they're even joking about how Yoshida-san might be trying to destroy FFXIV by collaborating with Nier. xD Even if the alliance raid is a shoehorn, I'm still looking forward to seeing how they try to make things fit. Plus there's so much tongue-in-cheek about it being something grand we need to wait on, if it's anything besides Dark Apocalypse, I'd be very surprised.

One of the Tomra dwarves refers to it as a "Grand and utterly nonsensical adventure", which sounds like something Yoko Taro would say about his work.Considering the possible unlock quest is taken from a dwarf in Tomra and sends you to investigate a "mysterious machina-filled ruin" which you aren't yet allowed in, it's more than likely to take place on the First. I'm on the super excited side! I love NieR:Automata and when they announced a crossover my heart skipped a beat.
The music sounds amazing so far - I only worry about gear/glam a bit, because I also hope they'll bring great outfits.
And I'm a tiny bit sad it's 2P and not 2B, but we will see how the story goes.
(And I'd love to get 2Bs hair... SE pls!)

I am very excited and am sure the raid itself will be great but as per usual the player base will make it miserable, lol
Can't wait to go in with 23 people who are equally clueless.
"Look, something over there is glowing"
"Now I'm glowing too. Maybe I need to walk towa-" *BOOM* raid dead.
"Okay, maybe not"
1st week blind runs are fun.![]()
Week 1 blind runs, and week 72 "who cares we over gear it all we don't need to do mecha...wait, why did we wipe?" runs are practically the same. So you get it on both ends
The map looks pretty ugly to me.
"The worst foe lies within the self."
