Rarely come on here but gotta vent somehow.I understand this game is made by Japanese(most games are anyway) and FF14 is no exception my issue is half the players is not most the players are english, and I imagine most subscribers are english whether from America or Europe or elsewhere.Last producers letter was all japanese no subtitles or translator or anything and it was frustrating because it was 1st live letter since shb release and most of us wanted to hear/see what is going on in development.Since it was just faq from forum it was no big deal.But next letter LIV again.. all Japanese without a translator or even subtitles and it is really unacceptable because this time the live letter was about a major Patch 5.1 and I can't understand what being said.For a major patch SE would least have the courtesy for english players and let us understand what being said or talked about.I been playing this game just maybe a year and been following these live letters since start of the year and untill then it been no issue till now.What I hope if SE does see this which they prob wont is to take consideration of your player base regarding upcoming content.Yes i know slides have english also but I like hearing commentary about what being said about the slides also.Tho I pay a sub i am not entitled , i am just asking out of courtesy for future major updates is all.

On the reddit discord there are people who translate the conversations outside of the slides english translations.

I am looking at that right now and thanks to reddit community for providing something Square Enix should've been providing themselves.How hard is it for them to have a separate stream with an english translator giving play by play?
Just glancing through the translation discord there are already things I see translated that would've been nice to understand from the stream -_- .

I came from FF11 so I know all too well how SE treat non-jp customers like trash. Being a big fan of the FF series is what keeps me staying sadly.

Yeah they usually do a translation and post it for people to see. However, Reddit people deliver it sooner.

So they don't do a live translation so what. Seriously I'm watching a delayed feed this morning and will read the translation when its ready. Would it be nice sure but it's not a do or die thing with me. Plenty of time before 5.1 drops.
