True. That said, I think that Gold Saucer example might have been what I was thinking of for my "I think we've seen a hyru/roe combo somewhere" comment earlier. So, thank you, NessaWyvern.

I also know at Aleport in the Limsa region there's a Midlander Hyur and Roe Woman that go at it "like rabbits" and their commanding officer is scolding them, not because of what they do, but where they did it and the two NPCs nearby (one of them a Miqo'te) is the one to mention their relationship. It's at the top of the fort in the corner. You have to wait for the dialogue box to appear though.

Yeah. Which again is a knock against the "interracial relationships are taboo" idea. But that could just apply in Vylbrand.

^ Just because something is taboo doesn't mean people don't do it. Just ask societies where pre-marital sex is taboo. How well is it working? It's almost always a case of do it, but don't talk about it and, above all, don't get caught.

Personally, I'm just assuming that while inter-racial sex can and does happen in Hydaelyn, the chance of it leading to offspring is very, very low. It's a lot easier for me to reconcile this headcanon, rather than think the sex doesn't happen at all.
